    ALTEC SIGHTING - an M20 Microphone System!

    Found this on YouTube - it's a rare film of "Big Noise From Winnetka". If you'll look closely, there's an ALTEC M-20 Microphone System being used to pick up the players, and, unless I missed it, that's the only mic being used. These guys were SO good, though, that they blended perfectly, so one omni-directional M20 was all you'd need, contrary to modern engineering belief...

    Great clip--those guys can really play. Any bass players out there be sure to check out the last 40 seconds or so of that clip!

    I had 2 of them for studio stuff back when. Always pulled them out for bluegrass and such...wonderful mics.
